Description:

Love—timeless, complicated, and always worth singing about. Caritas A Cappella Ensemble takes you on a romantic romp through the centuries with Love Songs of Old and New.

Expect fiery passion in Morten Lauridsen’s Madrigali: Six "Fire Songs" on Italian Renaissance Poems—where love burns bright, sometimes too bright. Then revel in Renaissance madrigals by Monteverdi, Gesualdo, and de Rore, alongside charming English gems by John Farmer, John Wilbye, and their merry band of heartbreakers. To keep things spicy, we’re tossing in Michael Engelhardt’s Love—a bold, rhythmic modern madrigal that proves love still makes us swoon (and occasionally cry) in the 21st century.

Old flames, new sparks. Come let Caritas A Cappella serenade your heart.
